The Freeman Fitness Center, dedicated to the memory of Carl and Josh Freeman, is located on the west side of the community. Major features of the renovation include:

A new larger, deeper and more accessible indoor pool, hot tub and sauna with more deck space

A new Aerobics Room with a sound and audio visual system for screening movies

A modernized Cardio and Weight Room with new equipment that supports expanded workout activities

Larger and updated locker rooms for men, women and families which are nearly doubled in size

Expanded parking to accommodate activities

Major infrastructure changes for electrical - including high efficiency LED lighting, HVAC, plumbing and security
Seasonal Memberships:
Our Seasonal Memberships are available Mid- September through May 31 of each year. Memberships include the utilization of the Cardio & Weight Room, Gymnasium, Hot Tub, Sauna, Locker Rooms and Indoor Pool. Memberships do not include Aerobics Classes but members can participate for just $9 per class or $7 with multi-class purchase (see price listing below).

*New members will also be required to pay a one-time initiation fee of $30. Initiation fee will be reapplied each time a member changes his/her menmbership package or has a membership interruption in the monthly fees from September to May.

The Freeman Fitness Center is nearly doubled in size and definitely embodies an amenity fitting a premier family beach and tennis resort community.

Show your Sea Colony issued ID badge and scan at the front desk.

Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

To use the Weight Room you must be 16 years or older.
The Edgewater Fitness Center is staffed daily from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
On the east side of the community is the Edgewater House Fitness Center with an indoor pool, hot tub, weight training and cardio exercise machines and free weights. There are aerobics classes in the Community Room that will give you a great workout.

Access is available by bringing your badge to the Security Desk next to the Edgewater Lobby. Security will exchange your badge for a key to the room. Upon completion of your workout, return the key in exchange for your badge.

Aerobics Program Fee
An annual fee of $30 to receive the punch card price. Does not apply for a Sea Colony Owner or Owner's Guest. Owner-proved guest badges may not be utilized by non-Sea Colony owners who are locally domiciled residents in Sussex County, Worcester County and Wicomico County), Sea Colony Renters, and off-season Member.

Barre
Calorie burning, fat blasting workout to design your abs and arms, tone your legs and give you a high “lifted” seat. Gripped socks or bare feet are recommended.
Cycle 60
60 minutes of cardiovascular workout on our Lemond Revmaster and Keiser Cycles. Participants will take part in an hour of simulated flat and hill riding, working on speed and endurance techniques.
Master Swim
Open to Adults 18+ and tri-athletes who wish to improve their swimming technique, distance per stroke and endurance. This also incorporates total immersion skills, drills and more. Requirements- Must be able to complete 500 yards non stop.

Power Vinyasa Yoga
Linking conscious breathing with a sequence of poses to create a mindful flow.
Total Body Workout
Combining weights, cardio, and resistance training for overall results.
Yoga Flow
Designed for fitness thru stretching, balance and core postures.
Water Aerobics
This class is a combination of shallow and deep water running. Instructions will be given to participants to conduct a shallow class with a little impact or deep water running with no impact that uses floatation belts. Movements involve stretching and toning. The water provides a great resistance and cardio workout as well as increasing flexibility.

Zumba
This is a fusion of Latin and international music and dance featuring salsa, meringue, cumbia and samba combined with aerobic/fitness interval training. This class offers a mixture of body sculpting movements and easy to follow dance steps designed to tone the whole body and HAVE A GREAT TIME!

Zumba Gold
This class takes the exiting Latin and International dance rhythms created in the original Zumba program and designed it for participants of all ages who prefer a low impact workout with aerobic benefits, and love to dance. This program creates a party-like atmosphere. It is exhilarating, easy and effective and great for your mind, body and soul.
